Hazel Technologies is searching for an experienced and self-motivated product professional to help form the foundation of our new Product Management team and contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic goals.

Position Description:  

The Embedded Device Product Manager will report directly to the Director of Product Management. This position will have the following areas of responsibilities: develop product strategy, product requirements product releases, product ideation, and product messaging working collaboratively with Product Development, sales, marketing, supply chain, and more to accomplish company goals.


Responsibilities:

  • Closely partner with the Product Development team to help define the product as they transition from beta to commercial products
  • Work cross-functionally with the Business Development, Finance, and Sales teams to identify opportunities for product growth and extension technologies
  • Closely partner with the Global Logistics Lead to establish the supply chain of products into international markets
  • Shown success working independently and navigating in a constantly evolving high growth environment
  • Optimize COGS of the product over its lifecycle
  • Coordinate technical relationship with the product’s OEM for the Datica sensor product line
  • Manage in-field testing of sensor devices
  • Recruit technical leads to assist in the management and rollout of the Datica and Hopper products

Requirements:

  • 5-8 years of experience in Product Management, preferably in medical devices, agriculture, and sensor products
  • Experience with sensors and sensor technology evaluating manufacturers, having managed an electronic product before
  • Experience in online customer portals that support physical products
  • Experience with electrical engineering and/or electronics (programming)
  • Demonstrated project management skills and working knowledge of standardized work practices
  • Strong continuous improvement skills and leadership competencies to drive quality, delivery, and cost improvement
  • International product experience
  • Detail-oriented, analytical thinker and problem-solver
  • Strong Communication Skills in English

Preferences:

  • 4 year degree in Manufacturing, Mechanical, Electrical or Electronic Engineering, or related field
  • Proficiency in Salesforce® or other CRM Software
  • Exposure to enterprise (B2B) sales
