Hazel Technologies is searching for an experienced and self-motivated product professional to help form the foundation of our new Product Management team and contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic goals.

Position Description:  

The Genetic Testing Product Manager will report directly to the Director of Product Management. This position will have the following areas of responsibilities: develop product launch strategy, product requirements, product release dates, and product messaging working collaboratively with R&D, sales, marketing, supply chain to accomplish company growth goals.


  • Closely partner with the R&D team to help define the product as they transition from beta to commercial products
  • Work cross-functionally with the Business Development, Marketing, and Sales teams to identify and develop timelines for product launches, opportunities for product growth, and extension technologies
  • Closely partner with the Global Logistics Manager to ensure the timely launch of products into international markets
  • Coordinate with Finance team to optimize COGS of the product over its lifecycle
  • Manage in-field DNA sampling
  • Participate in recruiting process to hire technical leads to assist in the management and rollout of the Hazel Trex™ products


  • 4+ years of experience in technical product management, preferably in agTech, biology, or other relevant industries
  • Experience in molecular biology (including DNA and RNA handling, PCR, qPCR, and quantification methods)
  • Experience in online customer portals that support physical products
  • Demonstrated project management skills and working knowledge of standardized work practices
  • Shown success working independently and navigating in a constantly evolving high growth environment
  • Strong continuous improvement skills and leadership competencies to drive quality, delivery, and cost improvement
  • International product experience
  • Detail-oriented, analytical thinker, and problem-solver
  • Strong Communication Skills in English


  • Bachelor’s in biology, microbiology, molecular biology, food science, or related field
  • Strong Communication skills in Spanish (advanced technical level)
  • Proficiency in Salesforce® or other CRM Software
  • Exposure to enterprise (B2B) sales
