Hazel Technologies is searching for an experienced and self-motivated product professional to help form the foundation of our new Product Management team and contribute to the development of the organization’s strategic goals.

Position Description:  

The Global Logistics Lead will report directly to the Director of Product Management. This position will be responsible for managing the global product movements and will oversee global shipping, customs and documentation, air and ocean shipping and freight forwarding.


Responsibilities:

  • Establish cold chain logistics to and within international markets where Hazel products are sold
  • Coordinate all inbound and outbound international freight
  • Communicate with Customs authorities and Customs Brokers as needed
  • Track on-time performance to ensure internal targets are achieved
  • Work closely with the Regulatory Affairs team to develop and implement a corporate trade compliance program
  • Collaborate with our external Imports/Exports Consultant
  • Actively support operational process controls through regular activity and training with Product Management, Product Development, Supply Chain, Sales, Finance, and Marketing to keep the company compliant with trade regulations

Requirements:  

  • Experience working in global cold chain logistics and with customs house brokers (domestic and foreign), freight forwarders, air and ocean carriers, and NVOCCs.
  • Demonstrated skill set for handling international shipping documentation requirements and regulations
  • Extensive knowledge in global shipping, customs clearance, documentation, air, and ocean shipping and forwarding
  • Working experience with international 3PL partners required
  • Understanding of Customs regulations in the EU, US, Latin America and Asia
  • Strong Communication Skills in English and Spanish (native or equivalent)
  • Minimum 5-7 years of experience working in global logistics
  • Detail-oriented, analytical thinker and problem-solver
  • Experience and ability to work independently and drive cross-functional projects

Preferences:

  • CTCS (Certified Trade Compliance Specialist) preferred
  • Four-year degree in Operations, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics, or similar relevant field
  • Proficiency in Salesforce® or other CRM Software
  • Exposure to enterprise (B2B) sales
  • Experience in agriculture or biology, especially fruits and vegetables
